Seeking Softness through Stability with Jody Manley
Have you experienced any of these challenges?
- struggle getting into a asana,
- sometimes feel you are overstretching to achieve the perfect pose,
- been injured while practicing,
- feel tired after practice
If any of this sounds familiar, you may be compromising ‘the foundation’ to achieve the perfect asana.
First and foremost stability is the key to safe asana practice. Establishing a stable foundation is the basis for successful asana development and enables you to achieve the state of yoga during practice.
In this workshop, we will explore these concepts against the backdrop of the Ashtanga Yoga Primary series.
Join Jody Manley to learn more.

Jody is the first Canadian student to receive a blessing to teach (1st and 2nd series) by Manju P. Jois and considers him her guruji! She continues her studies with Manju on a regular basis traveling extensively in Europe to attend workshops & trainings with Manju.
She travels annually to the House of Zen on Maui to practice with Nancy Gilgoff, who she considers an important mentor along with senior teacher, David Williams.
Jody maintains a daily practice of 1st, 2nd and 3rd series in addition to pranayama, meditation and chanting.
