It’s Spring – Redecorating time at the studio

At our teacher’s meeting on May 3, they asked me to rearrange the prop storage area to make more wall room available for our students. Several of our classes are getting kind of large.  We have some classes that are about 10 – 12 people in size.

Today Shirley and I spent a couple of hours at the studio.

She is preparing to paint a section of wall where one of our Wing Chun students fell against the wall and bent it.  The bend has been fixed and now it is time to paint it.  Shirley shows up in one of the pictures below.

While Shirley was priming the wall, I spent the time rearranging the prop storage area, and vacuuming the dust bunnies that have been hiding in the corners and under things.

Here are the pictures.

After you enter the space take a couple of steps to the left and look back at the storage area.

Once you reach the window wall you get a full view of the room.

Everything has been rearranged and everything is in its place expect for our dragon tounge tree.

The dragon tounge tree and the small pillows did not fit anymore at the far end of the room.  After some thought Shirley and I figured out where to put them.  The small cushions / pillows stayed in the large room, but the tree had to go.

A small table full of plants and the small pillow are now at the front of the room next to the window wall.

The table full of plants and small pillows are in the corner next to where the teacher leads the class.

The Dragon Tounge tree is not at home in the small practice space.  Shirley said that that room need more plants anyway.

Come on in and check out the changes.

Let me know what you think about the redecorating.

If you have suggestions that will make the space look even better let me know.
